Yeesh. What a close to the year…

30/12/08

It’s not just that Israel is about to go into Gaza – although that’s depressing enough as a situation. (And just for interest, here are a few links you may not have seen: Haaretz, the Times of India – check out the comments – the Parsi Times, and Al Jazeera.)

It’s not even that this here recession is apparently going to get bad.

No, it’s that the world is going buggo and Eartha Kitt died.

On Christmas Day, no less.

And she was, you know. Special.

Fare thee well, Eartha. You’re a babe.

Day In The Life Of Chairman Sunday

I am not responsible for this. My nieces felt it was of vital importance to national security that the dog be made to wear headboppers. Myself, I felt it was a dangerous slide towards the 80s, but who listens to me?

*sigh*

Anyway, the dog, being a lab and by nature a placid lass, was completely okay with the whole thing, which is more than can be said for me when they insisted I try them on as well.

No, sadly, I do not have a picture of me in headboppers to hand. There are enough ridiculous pictures of me in the world already.

All right, I’ll try to find one, but honestly you can’t see the headboppers clearly because of the eybrows.

Warning: Viking!

Genius.

Oh, and viking is a really interesting word.
