Because people were asking, I wrote a post commenting about this whole business with my father and The Times. Which I decided was pompous, so I scrapped it. Then I wrote a rather obscure bit of semi-satire, didn’t like it, and took it down. I’ve since written a couple of jocular short pieces, a deadly-earnest discussion, and a funny paragraph with a cow in it.
